About Presenter
I am a Master’s student in Materials Engineering at AGH University of Krakow, focusing on biomaterials and technologies that improve quality of life. I lead the Student Research Group Nucleus, where I coordinate interdisciplinary projects combining materials science, medicine, and digital innovation. My experience in biomedical design and user-centered research inspired me to address the growing problem of dementia through accessible, technology-based prevention. I see this project as a bridge between science and empathy — a step toward creating real tools that support seniors, promote mental well-being, and build awareness about cognitive health.

Future of Prevention: Living Longer, Living Better

Objective: Discover how prevention is reshaping global health and everyday well-being.

Introduction: the Problem

With the growing number of seniors affected by dementia, early prevention and mental stimulation are becoming crucial public health priorities. Many older adults lack accessible, motivating tools to keep their minds active and delay cognitive decline. Our startup idea focuses on developing an intuitive mobile application designed to support seniors in maintaining cognitive health. The platform offers personalized brain-training exercises, memory games, and emotional well-being modules. Using gamification and adaptive algorithms, it encourages regular engagement while collecting anonymized data to monitor cognitive trends over time. We are currently at the concept stage, building the first mock-ups and consulting healthcare experts. The next phase includes prototype development and pilot testing with local senior communities.

Collaboration Offer
We are currently looking for partners and mentors to help transform our concept into a functional prototype. We welcome collaboration with healthcare professionals, cognitive scientists, and technology developers interested in digital health for aging populations. By joining us, partners gain access to early research data, visibility in a fast-growing preventive healthcare market, and the opportunity to co-create an innovative solution that promotes healthy aging and helps prevent dementia. Your involvement means more than just innovation — it’s a contribution to something deeply meaningful. Together, we can create an application that may one day help your loved ones, your friends, or even yourself. This is not only about technology — it’s about empathy, prevention, and building a future where aging minds remain active, independent, and connected. Our guiding values — our A-B-C-D-E — are: Active Aging, Brain Health, Cognition, Dementia Prevention, and Empathy through Technology.
