About Presenter

I am employed at Selvita as a Senior Scientist in the Chemistry Department and was involved in the project as a Principal Investigator. My main responsibilities included the synthesis and characterization of compounds within the library, as well as coordination of related research activities.

Title of presentation
Development of a platform for hits identification in antiviral drug discovery programs
Focus Areas

Next-Gen Therapies: From Lab to Life

Objective: See how biotech, AI and digital health are accelerating the future of medicine.

Introduction: the Problem

The aim of the project was to create a focused library of compounds which would accelerate discovery of novel antiviral medicines, including drugs against SARS-CoV-2, HIV, HCV and other human health threatening viruses. The structures of the library members are unprecedented in the literature and have been designed based on the mechanism of the viral action.

Collaboration Offer

Currently, by means of high throughput screening of the library Selvita offers to relevant clients a convenient tool for identification of hit compounds which can further be developed into a successful drug candidate. Often unique chemical structures of identified hits allow their facile modification into patentable chemical entities.
