Respiratory diseases such as asthma and COPD affect over 70 million people in Europe and remain one of the leading causes of chronic illness and early mortality. Despite this, access to reliable and affordable lung function monitoring is limited — spirometry is typically performed only in clinics and requires medical supervision. As a result, patients often recognize deterioration too late, when hospitalization or irreversible damage has already occurred.
WellBri addresses this problem by developing an intelligent home spirometry system that enables daily, accurate respiratory monitoring supported by AI. The device measures key lung parameters (FEV1, FVC, PEF) and automatically interprets results, predicting potential health risks before symptoms appear.
Our main goal is to shift respiratory care from reactive to preventive. Planned milestones include integrating hardware, mobile app, and cloud AI engine (TRL 6), validating the MVP with patients and clinics, and preparing for CE certification. WellBri transforms complex medical diagnostics into a simple, accessible tool that empowers users to take control of their breathing health.
